We wanted to share a brief update on the work being done through Renewal North. It has been well over a year since we first met as a group, almost a year since we incorporated, and now eight months since funding our first therapy sessions—with your help, we are grateful to have supported 8 survivors and assisted 2 transitioning workers so far. Each of these represents a real individual with a unique story, and it is a privilege to be able to walk alongside them in a meaningful way. This progress has only been possible because of the generosity of those who have chosen to support our survivors and workers in transition.

While our current funds will sustain therapy commitments for the next few months, we have seen new requests and an increase in survivor needs. These requests often come at critical moments, and timely access to support can make a significant difference. As a result, there is an urgent gap to address in the near term, and we are actively working to ensure that care remains accessible to those who are reaching out.

If you have supported us in the past, thank you. Whether it is a one-time donation or a monthly contribution, it truly makes a difference and directly enables this work to continue. We applied for charity status shortly after we incorporated, but in Canada, this process can take time. We understand that many are looking forward to the ability to receive tax receipts, and we are hopeful to hear back this year regarding our application.
