Financial Assistance Exclusions

  1. Renewal North will not provide assistance to alleged perpetrators with reasonably substantiated allegations. This policy applies to both the CSA/SA Survivor and the Transitioning Worker funds.
  1. Renewal North reserves the right to deny funding to transitioning workers who have enabled perpetrators through their conduct. In these situations, Renewal North directors will consider funding eligibility on a case by case basis.

Financial Assistance Amount Determination Policies

  1. Transitioning Workers
    1. Worker assistance is available to transitioning workers that meet the donation earmarking criteria.
    2. Transitioning worker decision/funding turnaround time 48-72 hours (expedited) after a completed Living Expenses worksheet worksheet has been submitted.
    3. The Transitioning Worker Fund provides supplemental funds above and beyond any financial assistance or services already available to raise individual workers to a basic living standard as defined in the Living Assistance worksheet defaults on the Renewal North website.
    4. Supplemental income needs will be established by filling out the Living Expenses worksheet and reviewing it with a Renewal North volunteer
    5. Renewal North may expand qualified expenses, such as assisting with educational and vocational training, if funding allows and all basic needs are covered.
  1. CSA/SA Survivors
    1. CSA/SA assistance requests are anonymous. Renewal North only communicates with therapists directly or via a third party and only communicates with the therapist selected by the survivor or the third party.
    2. Renewal North Funds Therapists Assistance requests approvals must include the therapist name, address, and phone # or website url.
    3. Therapy sessions are approved in 24 session increments (approximately 6 months). Renewal North endeavors to fund the therapy needs of survivors as needed on an ongoing basis. These commitment limits are intended only as a mechanism for budgetary and fundraising planning, not a way to limit commitment to the survivor’s recovery efforts.
    4. Renewal North reserves the right to limit the amount paid for individual therapy sessions to the average session cost for the region where the therapist operates. The per- session assistance amount may also be limited based on the Renewal North CSA/SA fund health per the Renewal North Financial Health and Funding Policies section below.
