Donor Privacy Policy

  1. Renewal North is committed to respecting the privacy of donors. The types of donor information that we collect and maintain are as follows:
    • Contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address),
    • Donation information,
    • Information provided by the donor in the form of earmarks, comments and suggestions,
    • Donation information (donor, amounts) may be made public ONLY if this is authorized by the donor.
  1. Renewal North uses donors’ information to understand their interests in our mission and to update them on the organization’s status, plans and activities. It is ONLY shared with staff, board members, volunteers, and consultants on a “need-to-know” basis, excepting when the donor wishes this information to be publicly disclosed with their written or electronic consent.
  1. Renewal North also assures donors that their names and addresses will not be shared with any third party. If you have comments or questions about Renewal North’s policies, please email us at [email protected].

Renewal North may periodically email fund health information and donation requests to donors, especially in times when there are unmet financial assistance requests in one or both of the Renewal North funds. These emails will be sent no more than once per month to the email address specified on the donor page.

CSA/SA Fund Privacy Policy

The CSA/SA fund supports the healing of CSA/SA survivors whose abuse was perpetrated by another associated with the fellowship by assisting with therapy and other mental health and trauma recovery expenses.

  1. Since many survivors prefer to remain anonymous, we implement an anonymous process to fund therapists directly or through an independent third party. This process ensures that Renewal North has no knowledge of the identity of any survivors or perpetrators of the abuse.
  2. If a survivor or anyone contacting Renewal North on behalf of a survivor does choose to disclose their Identity and/or Personal Identifying Information (PII), it will be kept strictly confidential unless that survivor explicitly consents in writing to releasing specific information.
  3. While we encourage survivors to bring their perpetrators to justice, this is not a service that Renewal North has expertise in which to assist. However, we have working relationships with organizations that can assist, and may provide recommendations as requested.

Transitioning Worker Fund Privacy Policy

  1. As a general rule, Renewal North will keep all information relating to transitioning workers, including identities (name, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, etc), phone or email discussions, survey results, and/or budget worksheet data strictly confidential.
  2. All electronic documents (email, survey results, budget worksheets) will be kept in a secure location (cloud storage service), and only Renewal North staff who have a need-to-know will have access to the information.
  3. Identities and Personal Identifying Information (PII) of any transitioning worker contacting Renewal North will be kept strictly confidential unless that worker explicitly consents in writing to releasing specific information.
  4. If a transitioning worker explicitly consents, assistance amounts paid to that worker may be shared with a donor who recommended that worker in the donation form during the donation process.
  5. If a transitioning worker explicitly consents, a testimonial that has been reviewed and approved by that worker may be used on the Renewal North Website for fundraising purposes.
